In Novem\u00adber 1991 I had a vision. It was clear to me that I want\u00aded to work togeth\u00ader with research in the arts. I am not a sci\u00aden\u00adtist, but my works should arouse the curios\u00adi\u00adty of young peo\u00adple and inspire scientists.Margrit Fis\u00adch\u00ader-Hotz<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n


The first works con\u00adtain many ener\u00adgy fields (see pages 79 \u2014 84). In one of them lies a secret that a researcher will one day clear\u00adly rec\u00adog\u00adnize and deci\u00adpher. This is for the ben\u00ade\u00adfit of mankind. Lat\u00ader I inte\u00adgrat\u00aded cell struc\u00adtures, bac\u00adte\u00adria, mito\u00adchon\u00addria, mol\u00ade\u00adcules etc. into my work. From the lat\u00adest research in med\u00adical micro\u00adbi\u00adol\u00ado\u00adgy I weave parts into my paint\u00adings using mixed media on paper and can\u00advas. In short, I am fas\u00adci\u00adnat\u00aded by the new\u00adly emerg\u00ading com\u00adput\u00ader images of the micro- and nano-areas. I am also impressed by the new\u00adly dis\u00adcov\u00adered par\u00adti\u00adcles of quan\u00adtum physics. The nuclear research cen\u00adter CERN in Gene\u00adva with the par\u00adti\u00adcle accel\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtor (Large Hadron Col\u00adlid\u00ader LHC), as well as the plan\u00adets in space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s how it came about that from 2006 I began to study atoms and the uni\u00adverse. The wise words of the Greek philoso\u00adpher Dem\u00adocri\u00adtus (460 B.C.) became my guid\u00ading prin\u00adci\u00adple: \u00abNoth\u00ading exists but the atoms and the void\u00bb (he did not know at that time that atoms are also divis\u00adi\u00adble). Guid\u00aded by his state\u00adment, my lat\u00ader works for \u00abMany-Worlds\u00bb devel\u00adoped. We live in a time in which sci\u00adence has more weight than ever before. With\u00adout physics, we would not have arti\u00adfacts today \u2014 think of the world-wide-web, radi\u00adol\u00ado\u00adgy, our cut\u00adting-edge med\u00adi\u00adcine, space trav\u00adel and much more. From the research par\u00adti\u00adcles emerge what we humans will lat\u00ader make of them. With\u00adout sci\u00adence, we can\u00adnot sur\u00advive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some\u00adtimes I work in the mid\u00addle of the night, then every\u00adthing is so qui\u00adet and new ideas fly to me. Although in 1957 every\u00adthing had been ini\u00adti\u00adat\u00aded for me to enroll in art stud\u00adies at the Ecole nation\u00adal des beaux-arts, Paris, unfor\u00adtu\u00adnate\u00adly it did not hap\u00adpen. In the peri\u00adod after the Sec\u00adond World War, one had to build up and earn mon\u00adey to sur\u00advive. I nev\u00ader attend\u00aded an art acad\u00ade\u00admy. But at a young age I con\u00adtin\u00adued my edu\u00adca\u00adtion in cours\u00ades for applied arts. In the Kun\u00adst\u00adgiesserei Perseo AG, Men\u00addri\u00adsio I made bronze sculp\u00adtures. I have also made many exhi\u00adbi\u00adtions in Switzer\u00adland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dur\u00ading the Coro\u00adna Pan\u00addem\u00adic I found more than 2000 clovers on my walks \u2014 four, five, six and sev\u00aden leaf clovers in fresh green. I pressed them and plan to put them in a show\u00adcase at my next exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion so that vis\u00adi\u00adtors can enjoy them. The fol\u00adlow\u00ading two sen\u00adtences from a quo\u00adta\u00adtion by Karl Jaspers after I have always been straight\u00adened out read: \u201cThe indi\u00advid\u00adual is joint\u00adly respon\u00adsi\u00adble for the whole, through every\u00adthing he does \u2026 because he takes part in the events, act\u00ading in his field \u2026\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
